Man, I would have never seen this here! I guess I don't often peek in the Blog Forum. My loss. I'll have to start checking in now and then.

As for your page, I think it looks great, very user friendly and of course, the content is top notch fiction.

I know you're still working on page design and formatting, so I won't pick on that yet.

Anyway, looks great. Let me know if you ever want somebody to look at the content.

Mike

Webmistress could use a little directional guidance. This web page crap is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.... (whips forhead)

Content is not really a concern- its fiction; its art, yo.

My concern is the format and the access to the fiction. Does it work? Not work? What do I need that i ain't got?

IMO, it's a lot easier to follow now. Of course, now that you're doing the collaborative novella, should that get a nav link too?

Also, you should probably keep your fonts and sizes the same throughout. Don't switch 'em up too much, especially not on the same page.

Also, you could do a header that was a little more... I don't know... I mean, both characters are writers after all, so maybe it's fine. But they're so much more than just writers, no?

Fokker Aeroplanbau is well-respected
It's a little muted, color wise, so people can access it from work when they should be working on that quarter's financial Excel sheets; a point.

It's straight to the point and stays straight to the point, it's never good when people try both; another point in your favor.

I'm just going to quote what I put on your guestbook: "Simply elegant, quietly competent and utilitarian in its beauty; what a site."

There's some potential for improvement, I find that the site could use some sort of 'Profile' section to present a synopsis, history (et al), for the book. As it is I don't really know what to expect which would be sort of irritating if I was just 'generally' checking blogs out.

Would it be too much to ask for internal consistency for the pages? I know it makes a touch amount of sense to go 'Author-Character-Author-Character' but I think it would be better to merely combine the 4 pages into two Character/Author one's. Otherwise it is sort of awkward, and I'm not really sure why they're accessible from the main webpage.

I think the Author - Character - Character Author concept lends itself to the "hyper-fiction", world inside a world idea. It can make clarity a challenge, though.

As you get deeper in, a navigation bar (down the left side?) will probably be useful for returning visitors to easily get back to the story, or side of the story, that they are following at the moment.

It's a good looking site, and you're both fun to read, as always.

A list of changes:
1. Font uniform
2. Text color uniform
3. Added the side nav bar for both short posts and the collaborative novel
4. Condensed the Valentino/Marlow and Flory/Lind Links to one page (previous poster made a good point- no sense in making there look like 4 writers live in one spot....)
5. Added the links page to spot writing sites as well as my personal favorites (cough....Alex Ellis....cough.....Eldon Hughes...)
6. Jerry SHOULD be off snapping some pics of himself....and I am shopping the WWW for a few pics to throw in here for some colors. I have a few nice black and whites I took that I would like in integrate...but I'm kind of stupid about such things
7. Mike, you made a good point about a header....but....what? Suggestions? I got nothing at this point....
