I know we have a prayer request thread, but I haven't yet seen one for praises and thanks, so I'm starting one.

This thread is to help everyone see the good things going on for them in their lives and so they can have a chance to Praise God for it (or you can just be thankful for it, religion is optional here)

Ex.
I want to thank God for me having Fridays off from class this semester, it turns out that I really needed them.

I'm also thankful for the fact that I really enjoyed my 4hour psych class last night and I don't think it's going to be as bad as I thought it would be.

Please note- this thread is only for thanks (aka Happy things)
If you have a prayer request, please post it on the prayer request thread

So who's next? What are YOU thankful for today? :D

tt42 and aadams73.

And that's the most I'm gonna say here, 'cause I'm Scottish and don't do emotions.

That is all. :D

I'm thankful for my wife (even if she wasn't beautiful), my children, my family and friends, my education, my business, my health, for our service men and women, our vets, good religious leaders, coffee, AW and its members, random acts of kindness, dedicated nurses and doctors, ...

My life took a very pleasant turn this year.

I'm thankful to the Canadian Immigration authorities for FINALLY granting me the visa last July to immigrate to Canada from the shithole-of-an-excuse-for-a-country- Sri Lanka. Yes, I spent the first 20 years of my life there (supposed to be my "mother country" apprently). My gratefulness to the immigration department reaches beyond positive infinity.

Yippee! I probably won't have time to write, but I am so excited to spend a week in warmer weather. Haven't had a week off in a loooong time.

At the moment, I am thankful for Typhoo tea bags, and the store downtown that keeps stocking them, even though I seem to be the only one who ever asks for them.

Pfft. Twining's Assam, that's what you need. They're the dog's bollocks.

And anything Stephen Fry endorses has got to be good.

I am thankful that over 500 years ago Columbus sailed the ocean blue so that I can have Monday off.

I am thankful for everything in my life, the good, the bad, and the ugly - because of them I am stronger, wiser, and take each gift with a grateful heart.

I am thankful for that scene in Transporter 2 where Jason Statham takes his shirt off and gets accidentally covered in motor oil. (I'll try to think of something more profound to be thankful for).
