Very much a personal choice, and never sure if i left out a forgotten favourite. Anyhow, assuming this hasn't been asked.
What's your top ten fav comedies of (all?) time?

b/ really shows the incredible diversity of comedy - my fav art form - from pure slap stick to the poignant/ sublime

I came so close to putting Arsenic and Old Lace on mine. I've heard Cary Grant found it too slapstick but I love it.

Young Frankenstein (The Puttin' on the Ritz scene)

The Jerk ("He HATES these cans!!!")

Blazing Saddles ("Aw man, somebody's gotta go back and get a shitload of dimes!")

Airplane ("What's your vector Victor?")

Christmas Vacation ("We're gonna have the hap hap happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny fuckin' Kaye!")

Duck Soup (1. "Who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes?" 2. "I've got a good mind to go out and join a club and beat you over the head with it." and 3."Remember men, we're fighting for this woman's honour; which is probably more than she ever did.")
