No, I meant whinging. It's an Australian/British term. Means the same thing basically.

I just did it, mostly. I think it was more like 60-75 minutes but I got 434 words. I will be writing later tonight more. If I don't post another word count pester me about it. Princess, thank you for the kick I needed to get going.

I should be posting again in about 6.5 hours. I won't be writing but maybe two hours of that time.

That's still a few hours of writing today. As long as you put something down, you've made headway.

I did 242 so all together, I did 676, I think. I'm way off my goal but not doing a whole lot else besides writing tomorrow. Happy writing, folks!

Only got 717 in today. I haven't been sleeping very well, and I've been too tired to really sit down and produce the last couple days. I need to get a good night's sleep and rock out a good 1300 words tomorrow.

Keep pluggin everyone!

I could do the 'work on novel' before getting on the internet part, but the not doing any other project would be really difficult because I write articles for submission.

I did 497 words this morning. I'm almost to the halfway point.

I think I deserve a chai latte!

I think I may have written at least a thousand words today.

That puts my total at about

77,500.

I'm going for 78000 tonight, possibly 79,000 with the hopes of 80k this weekend.

Then I'll be on the final stretch. Five chapters and 20,000 words.

I tried to participate in this thread last year, but things got crazy. I ended up abandoning all my writing until recently when I was mowing the lawn and got all fired up about a new Idea. I outlined the story and started writing. Last night I was able to get down 5000 words. I've done 20,000 words in the last week. The thing that did it for me was deciding to write what I would want to read.

I can't wait to finish it!

Welcome, Elemental! 5,000 words in one night is great! Stick with it this time. There's a bunch of support here.

Forgot to post my wordcount in a while! I'm still keeping my daily word goal, sometimes exceeding, so I feel I'm on the right track. I signed up to submit the first part to my writer's group in February, so I figure if I finish by the end of December, that gives me a month to clean up the first part.

Still outlining the other book...

Elemental, that's awesome!

Thanks, Layla. Get one for yourself while you're at it.

Nice, Lizard. I'm impressed you're working on two things at once.

664 words this morning and I passed the midway point! My first draft is now around 32,600 words. (My goal's 65,000.)

I haven't been able to sleep this week. I slept maybe 3 hours in the last 3 days. And then today, I came home and passed out for 7 hours. I feel a lot better. Today, I plan on making up for lost writing.

I didn't get much written yesterday. I think it was like 100words. I was too excited about Wordstock.

Today I was exhausted after walking around all day. Wordstock was awesome, and I learned a lot of good info. Very inspiring and encouraging. I wanted to come home and write like crazy but, I was just too tired.

I got a 1000words done today. I'll make up for it tomorrow.

So I got this idea for another WIP, and it's just begging to be written. I don't like to work on multiple WIPs at the same time, but I need to write this before I go back to my first WIP, or I won't be able to think straight.

LStein, PrincessofPersia, Layla, LizardMaker, Alexandra, and Elemental Magic: it's awesome to see you guys keep on trucking.

I can't wait until I finish my revisions so I can finally start on the next story running around in my head and then jump back into this thread. So far, I've resisted doing anything with it, even creating the outline, but my will is weakening.
