I started blogging about a month ago, and I really adore it. I started browsing onto blogspot and wordpress and so forth, and I see that a lot of people have more than one blog.

What I want to do is to have my own personal blog, as well as having a blog for all my work, and having a blog entirely devoted to a demo reel which I will be constructing over the next few months.

Is this a good idea?

Yes, just link all of them on each blogsite to cross promote each blog.

Yes. Having separate sites would prevent confusion among your readers. I recommend Wordpress for multiple blogs. They have wonderful tools for blog management.

Yes. I have multiple blogs. Wordpress is really good about managing those multiple blogs. There's a menu type thing on the top with drop down menus for posting new posts on whichever blog you wish to post on, as well as drop down menus for getting to your blogs' respective dashboards. It's very very handy.
