We just got word that GMA wants to interview us!!! Good Good - what is happening here?? We have an article coming out in Parade Magazine this weekend, we interviewed with the BBC a couple days ago, and now GMA!!! The only problem now is that the road south is blocked - and has been for 14 days. Don't know how we'll get through....

They want us for Labor Day, and that would have been very doable - we planned to be in a fairly large town in southern Bolivia then. However, we just found out about this strike and they've closed the road for the past 14 days - no idea when it will open. If we can't get through, we will wait here for a while and then - if it still doesn't open - we'll have to take an alternate route. But that would put us in the middle of nowhere on Labor Day.

You bet Ben! But - now that we had everything set and would talk with them from Tarija, now the road is closed and we will most likely have to reroute. At this point, we have no idea which direction we'll go - will be poring over maps tomorrow. So, our interview that was set up for Labor Day will most likely not happen on Labor Day - but I really don't know. Darn!

At least this will make a good story when we finally do get on GMA, eh??? "We tried - we really tried - to make it to the city, but the darn protesters piled rocks up in the streets and closed all the stores so we couldn't buy food..."
