Week of September 24-30.
Write a story (under 3000 words) about a man returning home to find his house's gone... (The interest level of this is really sad... so I am probably going to pull the plug)

The week before Xmas:
Write a story about Christmas that doesn't involve gifts, toys, food, decorated trees, cards, shopping, Santa, Jesus, etc. etc. -- that is, everything that has to do with Christmas.

I'll try and keep this up more regularly. For now, here's a whole thread of prompts for humour writers that some might not know about:

Prompt for this week:
Write a satirical obituary or eulogy about yourself, written from the POV of someone who doesn't like you very much, but doesn't want to come right out and say so at your funeral. Come on, make fun of yourself!

Well, it doesn't seem like it is to me, but, from what I see in this thread, it seems like someone may take over.

Dead thread deserves a new chance at life.
Horror-esque: write a story in which the thing that incites terror is never revealed. or: center your story around a mask. Happier: write from the POV of a puppy or: your characters go to a place they've never been before

If anyone is in want for prompts, your unicorn-of-love is here to supply some.
-write a story centered around a piano (not necessarily in location, lol) -write a dialog-only story about a surprising discovery -make up an original fairy tale. The moral? Never trust/talk to strangers. (horror writers especially rejoice)
