December blog chain

As of now, our December topic is to write a piece of "hint fiction", tales of 25 words or less, OR you can write a "mini saga" of 50 words or less OR something in between. The point is to tell a story in fewer words than the November drabble.

Fine print (plagiarized as usual):

If you are interested in participating this month, scroll down to the reply box and enter your blog's address so I can add you to the list!

Each participant posts when it's his/her turn. The first one (Me!) will go December 6th.

Even if the blog chain has started, you can still be added to the end of the list until the month is over.

When it's your turn, you have two days to publish the direct link to your blog post in this thread. I will remind you when it is your turn two times (after your predecessor posts and, ideally, 24 hours before your deadline). If you are unable to publish your entry within two days, the chain will move along to the next person. You will be moved to the end of the chain if you request it (here or by a quick PM to me), deleted if you do not.

Your post must include the list of the blog chain's participants with the link to each blog.

The aim of a blog chain is twofold:

a) Have fun
b) Discover new blogs

This means that a true chain blogger reads and comments on the entry of the other participants.

Visit this thread regularly or use the subscription feature to make sure you don't miss your turn.

Since we got a bit of a late start getting everyone signed up, let's begin the chain on the first Monday in December-- 12/6/10. That way others can still join and the earlier posters will have more of a complete list of participants without having to edit their posts.

I'd encourage everyone to start your piece early and just have it tucked away ready to post when your turn comes up. I'd also encourage you to subscribe to the thread. With the holidays coming up, it could get crazy busy.

We need more players! I've pushed the start back to the first Monday in December (12/6). Come on people...it's only 25-50 words! You'll probably write more than that in your Christmas cards! (Poems can work too.)
