Hello, all! Here's the corrections. Due to cut/paste problem from my excel, the list is not looking its best and there are also some typos. These YA agents/agencies are current as of January,2011 that I have just finished querying. They've been thoroughly checked through, agentquery, querytracker, P&E, blogs, PM, AW, and all of their websites. I hope you can google their name because I couldn't get all the links(too much time). As some of you already have, you can tweet me ( http://twitter.com/#!/sirra_girl ) if you want me to send you the completed, detailed list. Good luck to you all!

Uh.

Not sure if this is sticky worthy...I know it took a lot of effort on the TC's part, but there are sites like QueryTracker that do all that work for you, and with agent emails, preferences, and submission guidelines, too.

I mean, it's a good list of agencies, but what would it do? We would have to google the agent to find the email, then the submission guidelines page to find sub guides....I just don't see the point of it? But it's cool.

I agree querytracker is great (though does not have everyone) this list is only useful if it includes e-mails and websites and so forth :)

It's still a really helpful list. It's easy enough to Google someone once you have their name. I have no opinion on whether or not it's stickied, but compiling 132 agents in a list like this takes time and I think it was thoughtful of the OP to post it here.

I would've found something like this helpful when I was newly querying, and I'm sure others will.

Cheering you all on!
The list is also not complete, even for the agencies and agents listed (probably a copy/paste problem). Some agents listed only have a first or last name, some agencies have only partial names listed, some agencies have several YA agents, where only one is listed. It's a good place to start if you're looking for somewhere to crosscheck with QT, AQ, or BW&BC, but by no means a definitive list.

I sometimes go to the SFF agent thread, which is not stickied and is updated every so often. I note how often agents change positions or agencies or do something to fall out of favor. So I'm not going to sticky this, but it is a decent starting place for finding an agency to research further, especially for the ones that aren't found on AQ and QT. I have a couple of people who volunteered their agent lists to me in the past when I thought I had hit every reputable YA agent out there, and I did find some good agents off those lists that I hadn't known did YA.

Personally, I find this helpful. I'm a google freak and I like having all these names in one place. I can google them, check their site and see if they represent my genre and then check the bewares forum and go from there. I don't think it hurts to have this, but not worth a sticky unless they have all been checked for legitimacy and linked with their site. That's a LOT of work to do, though.

Wow, can we get a sticky on this one?

Thanks. I'm a newbie and don't know what it is, but thanks anyways. I just wanted to help other YA writers out there and save them time. Be assure, each of them are current and had been checked. Thanks for your thoughts!

Much appreciated. I'm almost to the querying stage, so I'll definitely be using it.

:)Thanks. You're welcome to PM me, and I'll be glad to give you my excel sheet that has all info. including submission requirements. I'll be updating it daily, since I have a couple hundred more to go through, LOL.

Just FYI Lots of the agencies have other agents who rep YA. Writers House, for example, has at least 6 or 7 who actively rep it, maybe more.

That would be true for Fine Print, Foundry, and Andrea Brown on this list.
Natalie F is now at Laura B, too

Also, Tridet Media has several YA; Regal Lit could be added with Michelle A

On a side note, when I was querying, Agentquery was the most valuable, free resource out there. Great for letting you know who reps what, etc.

Do any of you guys know which YA-heavy agencies allow you to query other agents in their agency if you get rejected by one? (I know Writer's House allows you to)

PublishersMarketplace is also a great resource (unfortunately, it's not free).

Woah, I just checked out Writer's house, and I incidentally came across the agent who repped the Twilight series. Jodi Reamer. Pretty cool.

Is it true that you're allowed to query more than one agent at writer's house with the same book? There's four there who repp YA, but it seems almost too good to be true...

Unless they state otherwise, I don't see why not. Just wait until you get a rejection from one agent before pursuing another agent. If there's no reply, let 4-6 weeks pass depending on what they claim their response time is. Good luck!
