Does anyone know any movies that take place in the early 15th century? It's for research. And books, too. But I figure movies will be better.

I got an idea to use the language in Robin Hood's time for CMRH's chapter titles. I like it and my friend likes it, but what are your thoughts?

Oopsie. I am mistaken. My eyes glossed over the Wiki page and apparently RH appeared in folklore in the 15th century. He's really from the 12th century.

I'm currently watching Robin Hood (the one with Russell Crowe) for ideas on phrases.

No one ever YAWNed. I don't know what happened to BookGirl, and then Pezie disappeared. So, guess they weren't so up to it after all. Lol. Fine by me. I've been watching the history of 'cats' long and short haired breed. Our American Short hair Tabby lived to be 21 years old. I was 4 when she became part of the family. (No longer living by the way) And so, I was interested to learn about the other breeds.

I'm still writing. Lucky for me Kenny went to bed now I have some nice quietness in the house so that I can work in peace.

We're going to Kenny's Great Aunt's house tomorrow so I'm taking the laptop since I'm not uber fond of his sister so that I can eat at the "soup day" and go hide in a corner & write while he socializes with his family. Maybe I'll be able to get some more of the book done that way....if they'll let me. *SIGH*

Sorry, parumpdragon, didn't mean to ditch out last night! I ended up getting sucked into a movie my husband was watching. It's rare that I actually watch movies with him (he is a movie junkie and I almost always feel like I should be doing something else besides sitting there watching it). So, it was kind of nice to just snuggle up and watch it. And then I went to bed early. Good thing too, my babies have been CRANKY today. Morning nap time for them both now, thank GOD!

Morning everyone!

Oh that is fine Pezie, just thought it was funny that everybody was talking about it one moment and the next there was absolute.silence (sorry, bad joke). lol

Anyway, got some more pages done on the Selks, so that is good. Not sure where I am going next, but then I never am.

It is blowing up a storm outside. No clouds, just enough wind to blow a house down - well if we had any of the three little pigs here. lol.

Good morning all! It's "soup day" at Kenny's Great Aunt's house. Since I'm still rather angry at Kenny's sister for how she treated me after their mother's untimely demise. (Yes, emotions were running high, but I didn't deserve to be used as the "scapegoat" for all of the hurt she was feeling.) I'm taking the laptop with me so that I can eat soup as socially and nicely as I can....and then I'm going to sneak off to some corner and write like a mad woman! I've gotten in my 10k for the past couple of days, but I'm looking to amp that up as much as possible while there. We'll see how that goes. *SIGH* Why do family dynamics hafta be such WORK sometimes?

Sorry, Moni. That does not sound fun. Hopefully everyone can be pleasant and you can get some writing done. Family drama is the worst! I think it's because you have your guard down w/ family, so while with strangers or friends you might hold your tongue and just be polite, you feel you can say what you really think with your family. Or maybe feel like you can let loose on them, when you really shouldn't (general you, not you-you ) just b/c family is always there. Anyhow, it's even more awkward when it's the in-laws.

I'm in an awkward category.....I'm not technically family.....but I am kinda family in that Kenny and I are getting married.....so since I'm the "newest" to the family Kathy found it all right to unleash her rage on me. Of course I'm still way too new to just bitch out on her & tell her exactly where I think she should stick it. But if she pushes today....I just might get a little snarky with her. She'll have GOOD reason to dislike me! ROFL

That IS awkward. Though it's really not fair for her to treat you that way, esp. since you are so new to the family. Boo. Good luck!

Hi Guys,

I am in a good position family wise. Everyone lives on the other side of the country, so I am not involved in family politics. I am the relative that everyone calls once or twice a week with 'good news' and the weather report. Also the relative everyone comes to visit once every 2-4 years to get away from the other relatives. Lol.

Hai guys! I feel like I haven't been around here much lately.

I've found my relationships are best with my family when I remain several hundred miles away from them, so that my visits are treats for all of us and we're all on their Best Behavior. We haven't had a proper screaming fight around the dinner table in ages.

Morning! I hope the weekend was good to everyone.

My brother is the only person in the family who lives remotely close to us. He is about 45 minutes away in the city. The rest of my family and my husband's family live in other states. Anyway, my brother is awesome, so we love that he's close by. And he was here visiting yesterday. Yay!

We had our first BBQ of the season. Gotta love food off the grill. Yum.

I want to know how Moni's soup day went?
