AW is my favorite, of course! But I have a few others too.

Does anyone else use these? Or can suggest something else?

How many do you got?

Aren't we all? But it's better than being addicted to crack, and as long as you're getting the reading and writing done. . .

Just this one, but I would consider myself well and truly beyond hope of rehabilitation at this point.

I was on writingforums.com, actually I'm still a member there, but then I found this place and I like it so much better that I rarely ever go back. I find AW more informative and helpful. Haven't tried any place else since finding AW, I have no need.

Isn't this akin to telling junkies where to score the best dope? You enabler, you!

I'm only here. I spend so much time here that I can't imagine where I would get time to spend any more time on any other writing forums. I did check out a few others first, but once I found this one, I didn't really look any more.

What was that other one I went to when I was newish to AW? "Friggin' Magic" Writers?

Hmm. It's still up .. and after probably, I dunno, four years, my login/password still works! I recall being on the chat there (web-driven, I forget if you can access it through IRC), just before my first attempt at NaNoWriMo.

But gee, they're SERIOUS about writing and crits and stuff there are no forums not DIRECTLY related to writing, and you can't even DISCUSS fanfic!

Used to belong to another 2, but they went bust; used to also go to Critters, but they're not really a forum. Tried a few others.

But have only found AW and FM Writers (www.fmwriters.com) as the two writing forums to call 'home'.

My name is Susan, and I'm addicted to AW and Writers Digest Forums. I'm also addicted to chocolate, popcorn (not chocolate popcorn), and my cats.

This one for sure is addictive (hello, I'm in NY for BEA it's midnight I should be asleep but nope, I'm here :) ).

I'm also a member of two others:

Verla Kay aka The Blue Boards is a writing forum for authors of children's/YA.

And of course Backspace (heck I'm speaking on a panel at their conference on Friday).

Both strong forums with a solid membership of successful (and soon to be successful :)) writers.

I've only posted on three other writing sites, but my addiction runs more along the lines of music forums, which I think I have registered myself to at least a dozen of them.

Crikey, I thought AW was enough of a time sink. You're telling me there's more writing fora?

Well, I had an inkling, but I didn't realise there were so many. AW's more than enough for me.

I used to belong to Writers News until OH dragged me over here. :tongue

I do occassionally pop over there, but it always ends up into a 'rah-rah self-publishing' discussion and my head begins to hurt. I love AW, especially when I find a tricky problem in my writing.

You guys rock. :)

Addicted to AW for sure. Wasn't on any forum till I stumbled upon AW, then discovered AQ Connect. Went there maybe 6 times in the past three months and then gave up.

AW is the best!

Another vote for just this board. I mostly lurk these days, but AW's still my favorite place to laugh at trolls catch epic flounces count kittens and popcorn remind me that I'm not alone in the universe.

Just AW for me. While it's good to talk to other writers, I have to focus on actually writing more than anything else, so one site and a blog is enough for now.
