Lisa, explained the whole shipping thing best. I honestly don't know who came up with it and for the longest time, I didn't know what in the world people were talking about. I still don't know some of the acronyms out there like OTP. What's OTP?

The word ship is short for relationship, ie. the romance between two (or more) characters. Since the shortened form is ship, there are a lot of nautical jokes - your ship can be sunk, for example, if your preferred romance is ruled out.

OTP = One True Pairing, your favourite ship.

Oo! Thanks everyone! I have always wondered what OTP was. So it means One True Pairing. That makes sense. Being in the Glee fandom, they shoot that acronym around everywhere, but I just assume it has something to do with the pairing and leave it at that.

Like: "Rachel and Fin are my OTP!"
Me: "That's awesome. >.> -thinks: what's OTP?-"

I'm a big TVD fan (the original four books, not the sequels, though I don't mind the tv show). Bonnie in the books is so adorable, while I really like Kat Graham, I wish they swapped the characters of Caroline and Bonnie around in the show.
I loved fandom back in the day.

Not because I am a Bamon fan, but I just can't get into Damon/Elena! I miss the old diabolical Damon. :< Elena would not have that at all. Granted, Bonnie would most likely burn him with her powers for killing someone, but Elena always needs to be saved!
