Posting on behalf of SFF author Lavie Tidhar, who has started this charity to help international members of the SF, fantasy and horror community travel to major events:

Their current target is $6000 (2 years' funding), with the first year paying for blogger and SF advocate Charles A Tan to travel from the Philippines to World Fantasy 2011 in San Diego. $4000 has already been raised, but they need more or the whole thing is cancelled and you get your money back.

If the target is reached, donors will receive gifts from participating publishers including Angry Robot - woohoo!
