The Wayfarer King - Book 2 of The Kinshield Saga (epic fantasy)
I started working on this story in 2005, after finishing book 1 in the series, The Kinshield Legacy, but I set it aside on the advice of a writing instructor in the event book 1 flopped. In the hands of the small press that published it, it did. When I got the rights back in 2010, I formatted it for the Kindle and other ebook readers, and it started selling far better than it did while it was in hardcover (people would rather try a new author for $3 than for $30). When it became apparent that readers wanted the sequel, I started on it in January 2011, finished revisions in July and published it in August.
In its first couple of days on Amazon, it rose to #751 in the Kindle Store rankings and hit #2 in the Hot New Releases in Epic Fantasy (behind A Dance With Dragons, of course)! Its first two blogger reviews were both 5-stars: http://indiebookblogger.blogspot.com...ay-review.html http://www.gracekrispy.com/review-th...ng-by-k-c-may/ Needless to say, I couldn't be more thrilled! Thanks to my readers for being patient -- I hope you all love the story! ~ The Wayfarer King Book 2 of The Kinshield Saga ![]() Beyonders, evil beings that materialize without warning from the realm of chaos, continue to invade the world of men, destroying everything -- and everyone -- in their path. The most powerful of them all, Ritol, has been confined for two hundred years inside the palace in Thendylath, trapped by King Arek's magic. Having newly claimed the right to rule Thendylath as king, Gavin Kinshield has no money or army, but he's determined to protect his people from the beyonder attacks. With his new power of Wayfarer, Gavin has the ability to journey to all seven realms. To end the invasion, he must travel to the realm of chaos and summon Ritol. But can he escape before the beyonder champion kills him, devours his soul and takes his place as Wayfarer? If wizard Brodas Ravenkind has his way, Gavin will never make it that far. Not only does Ravenkind want the throne for himself, he wants revenge for his cousin's murder too. After all, he made a promise the first time Gavin crossed him… "...a riveting fantasy adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat." ~Carol Davis Luce, author of Night Passage Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005FQKPYU Smashwords: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/78646 B&N: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-...may/1104685436 |

Awesome
Well done on writing it. Going to buy it from the U.K. store sounds like a book I'd read.
