Word Count of the Day!

What's the largest word count you've written in one day? Or if you don't remember the word count just a time you can look back on and say "wow, I got a lot accomplished that day. I've written ____ pages today."

I think my largest in one day has only been around 2-3k.

Oh I agree with you. Sometimes I turn off the word count indicator on Word because when I leave it on and I am finished writing for the day I feel like I haven't written much lol

I cannot write with the word count on in Word either. Otherwise that's all I think about and I don't get any work done.

Well I've been working on my novel for about a month and a half now and I'm at 25k so that's almost half. You can do the math lol

I think the most I did in one day where I was counting was 7 or 8K when I was busting my butt to finish last year's NaNoWriMo. I haven't been actively counting words per day for a while because I'm in the stage of revision where the manuscript is expanding and contracting each day (in some ways, I'm more interested right now in how much the overall word count goes down instead of up).

12k, I keep a journal of the number of words written each day, for each WIP. My daily word goal is 3k per day, doesn't always happen, but most days it does.

I've only recently started recording and that's just for one project, but the most I've written for that in one day was 6,654 words. HOLY CRAP. Can't wait to see what those pages look like when I start revising.

The most I've ever done over more than one day is 6,500 a day for three days in a row.

In one whole day (not non-stop, I'd flip out), I'll have to say about 5k or maybe somewhere over that. I really don't pay that much attention to that stuff. My focus is getting to the end, that's my drive. I don't like looking at word-count until then.

I did 10k on the first day of NaNoWriMo one year. Might have been 2008. Anyway, it left me feeling a bit punch-drunk. It's something I could do for one day, but if I tried to sustain that for several days I'd be dragged off to the rubber room eventually.

3.5k, but I'm lazy and easily distracted. I usually try to aim for 2k a day, because if I go way over that, my brain will trick itself into thinking it can take it easy the following day.

A few years ago, I had one day where I wrote somewhere between 11-12,000 words. I don't remember the exact number anymore. I've had a handful of days where I've managed around 10k.
