Yes! I live in Haifa - sort of. Waiting for my turn in line for Technion dorms...

BTW I loved the "since then she has produced seven more novels and co-produced a second son" part on your website's bio. Very witty!

Thanks. Haifa's a very livable city, except for all those hills---almost as bad as San Francisco. Welcome to the forum. Keep your hands inside the car at all times, please. Some of the animals bite.

Thank, AW looks like a wonderful forum!

And i'm not worried about the animals. Quite kinky of me, but I actually enjoy being bitten from time to time =)

I think there's a place for you at the Erotica forum, in that case. ;)

Nice to meet you, Bob. Our son's last girlfriend (who turned out not to be The One after all) spent every summer in Haifa and loved it there.

Maryn, shaking hands

I'm not from Israel, but I used to live in Haifa for a number of years, probably saw you riding your three wheeler down Herzl St. in the early 1990's :)

Shalom, hamudi!

My sister and father live in Jerusalem. Last time I have been there in September. I was in Haifa in 2008. A friend of mine works at the University and she had candidate for something in politics, Mariana Shmilovici.

Not from Israel but lived there a year, and my brother studied at the Technion. Does that count?

Actually, I am in Tel Aviv, not in Haifa, though my son studies in Haifa...

Now finally getting ready to put a children book up on amazon. Anyone knows how to deal with the registration to ensure payment is actually made (yes, I am widely optimistic ...) and how to handle tax issues in Israel about that?

Well, if any of the Israelis are still here - SHALOM :) My name is Liron and I'm from Ra'anana, but I'm a student in College of Management Academic Studies in Rishon Letziyon.

Modiin Rocks

I feel like I am a writer from Israel.

I am going to put that on my CV and shout from the hill tops of Modiin.

I am glad I am not in the many it is so much more me to be in the few.

I would love to find other writers from Israel here in the 4-8 year old segment. I have a lot of ideas.

Congratulations Dan on your new book!

Congratulations Dan on the publication of "In the Footsteps of Iskandar".

Books about kibbutzniks are right up my alley, but books about India are not.

Good luck with this!

Thanks Ellis. I was always astounded by how far kibbutznicks used to travel. I met hevreh all over the world and usually in the least expected places. Back then, we were encouraged to go see the world right after our stint in Tsaal. I think the intent was to ensure that the kibbutz life was what we truly wanted :)

Hi Ellis, could you recommend Israeli distributors? I want to sell my book in Israel, it might interest one or two Sabras:)

Israeli distributors

There are two major book chains in Israel = Steimatzky and Yarid Hasefarim. I don't have a clue how they get their books, but one thing is for certain - they don't help with self-published books like mine.

Good luck!

Thanks Ellis, I'll send my old mom to talk to them. She's a founding member of a kibbutz in the Negev back when Moses was still herding the tribes from Egypt and she won't take no from anyone :)
