Hi
I'm thinking about what size paper I should print my book on, it is a non fiction fact book and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to which size paper to use. Also if you could provide me with a link as to where I could get this from it would be appreciated.
thanks

Without seeing the content, it is probably hard to make a recommendation. I'd suggest that you browse a bookstore, ruler in hand, examining comparable books, and measuring.

It sounds like you are planning to copy the book yourself, or print it off from your printer. If that is accurate, I would suggest a trim size of 4.25" x 5.5" as that is half the size of a regular sheet of copy paper, which is 8.5" x 11". All you would need to do is cut the regular sheet of paper in half (or have an office supply store do it for you so it is a perfect trim as they have machines that can easily cut an entire ream of paper at one time).

If you're not planning to print/copy the book yourself, ignore my suggestion. It was simply a cheaper way to get the most bang for your buck.

HI
yes I am planning on printing it of myself but then possibly selling a few copies to others, so if I am planning on selling some of the copies I print then should I still print in a5.
Thanks

I don't know the trim size for a5. I know inches. If you're going for the least expensive cost, go for half of an 8 1/2" x 11" regular sheet of paper. You can spend a few more dollars and choose any size you want. It's really your preference.

Hi
I saw a video on the Internet showing you how you could perefect bind your own book, so I think I will give that a try.

I've done that and it works pretty well. It ended up costing less to go with CreateSpace as I couldn't get the per book cost lower than $4.00 per book. Part of the reason was because I made glossy covers and sprayed a non-yellowing, water-resistant coating on the covers. The process was time-consuming.
