Someone explain to me why I thought watching that "Valentine's Day" movie would be a good idea? I hate this holiday. Currently trying to decide between one of my three usual coping mechanisms: A) Johnny Depp movie marathon, B) vampire movie marathon, or C) locate some still single friends and throw a party.

There's actually a restaurant doing a horror-geek-friendly St. Valentine's Day Massacre party, but it's in a dodgy part of town and I'd rather not go by myself.

Li'l Dude had a "good" day at school and took a nap on the way to his "away" swim meet, then swam his personal best yet - 9.5 seconds faster freestyle, backstroke 4 seconds faster, and breast stroke 12.5 seconds faster than his last meet.

Guess what he's doing in the backseat (we're on our way home) right now?

Eh. Yeah, it wasn't bad. But love stories tend to frustrate and depress me, for reasons that I'm not going to get into here. It was sweet. Kind of cheesy in places. Everybody finds somebody in the end. Which leaves Rhoda wondering where her somebody is.

I got a lot of writing done today though, so that's good.

@soapy: Good answer!

Sorry, but plot wise (well, except for the Kraken and other bits) it was more a Castle thing than a Firefly thing.

I have a Firefly dream thing I shall let you know.

I second D.

And the dodgy part of town thing sounds good, I admit, but I also second not necessarily the best place to go on your own.

Hey, break me off a chunk of that Toblerone, would ya? Nothing cures the V-Day blues like chocolate.
