A publisher or agency using Google ads to solicit your novel probably isn't anyone you want to write for.

Cover and trailer reveal for BREAKING GLASS

I know I'm never really on here, but I thought you all might want to check out the book cover for my young adult novel, BREAKING GLASS. The book won't be out until July 2013, but my publisher Spencer Hill Press is amazingly pro-active and supportive about publicity. Because I am a professional graphic designer, they actually hired me to do my own book cover. I've seen discussions about them on here--and just let me say---of course being a small start up they can't pay the kind of advances a large publisher can, but they more than make up for it in their dedication and devotion to SELLING your book. You may be familiar with one of their first authors, Jennifer Armentrout who's become something of a phenom.

Well, that being said--sometimes you just have to take a calculated risk. I did that with my agent, Victoria Marini, who was just getting started and is now quite a well-connected fixture in young adult publishing.

So..if you are interested in looking here is the link to my blog where you can see the cover, a trailer and read an excerpt from the book.

Here is the publisher's blurb to pique your interest:
Breaking Glass, by Lisa Amowitz

On the night seventeen-year-old Jeremy Glass winds up in the hospital with a broken leg and a blood alcohol level well above the legal limit, his secret crush, Susannah, disappears. When he begins receiving messages from her from beyond the grave, he's not sure whether they're real or if he's losing his grip on reality. Clue by clue, he gets closer to unraveling the mystery, and soon realizes he must discover the truth or become the next victim himself.

Congrats! The cover looks mysterious and dramatic with a teensy promise of scary.

The trailer song is gorgeous, and the images are great. Very moving.
