Question Hi, Pamela here. Writing apersonal connection to a true crime

I lived threw the most horrific decade that i dont wish on anyone. Im here refered by a Chico writer i interviewed today as a co-writer i guess thats the term. My name is Pamela i grew up in a town of three hundred people. Little did we know we were walking among serial killers. Nov 14 1998 a very close friend was kidnapped raped tortured and her throat slit. No body. We knew by the fifteenth who did it however they did not get arrested till March of 99 I opened a headquarters for missing adults. I org. all searches, flyers, press releases. I have all my orig. leads and info in writing with times and dates. Some scary sick things came in. I stalked the killer posted there face everywhere including across from there homes. See they started killing in 1993. The sport, "The ultimate hunt is the human hunt" they were good at what they did. I labeled them right away "Speed Freek Killers" and it stuck. there is so much to tell and i have it all. Bounty hunters, detectives, cold case detectives all call ask what i think about certain person and other involvments. My spelling is bad so bare with me. I will leave it at that. One of the interviews with a potential co writer said he was a godly man and wanted no part of such an evil thing. He was shocked and moved at the same time. My life will never be the same. Please check them out you will get public knowlage that everyone knows. What you will read is one eigth of what i know and what i got. Im seeking help as in co writer for book and documentary which im sure will follow and no doubt if Ted bundy was a movie these two Speed Freek Killers will make him look like a saint if thats possible. Im ready NOW please help me in the write direction. Will be offering a slice of the royalties with name on cover it will be worth someones wild to jump on board however i need a Crime writer who knows his stuff and is not freaked out with what he/she will learn on this journey. Thanks for time and any input.

Hi! Welcome to AW!

How do you like your popcorn?

You certainly have had quite a bit of experience. I'm sure your novel will be fine with just you as the author. You can learn quite a bit in this community. Feel free to share/help people here, and you will get that same help in return. Upon reaching 50 posts, you can post some of your work in the SYW (Share Your Work) area (the password is "vista"). There, you can get good, honest critique for your work. Don't make a mad dash for 50 posts, though. Spend some time getting to know people on this forum, and participate in a few conversations. Maybe critique someone else's work from time to time. After a while, you can possibly look for a Beta, who can help you get your work as close to being publishable literature as possible.

Again, welcome to AW!

Welcome to the forums, Pamela. I can agree with what Billtrumpet says. I'd try and write that novel on my own. If it is that good a story, no editor/publisher will refuse it, even if the spelling is not great (they can help you with it). Good luck!

Hi Pamaleamarie!

Welcome to AW!

Please read what Reg suggests about AW basics in the Newbie Guide!

Many questions about using this software can be found in the FAQ's menu in the handy blue bar at the 'top' of this page. Also handy for first-time users is the common acronym list. This helps you identify those mystifying abbreviations.

The most helpful Novel thread in all of AW
: here.

*Critiques* New members often ask about having work critiqued! They should first read the 50 Post rule. But when it comes to actually posting writing in the Share Your Work (SYW) area, this thread addresses many first time questions, while this one covers most common problems. found in SYW posts. *Worth reading no matter how long you have been here!*

AW is a community built on the foundations of respecting your fellow writer and helping each other, it's the basic building blocks of how and why AW works.

Welcome to our community! =)
