How to measure visitor statistics with Analytics and AdSense

Hi guys. I'm tracking the readership of my webcomic with Analytics and Adsense, and have written a piece that shows some of the methods I use for analyzing my results.

Feel free to check it out if you're looking for ways to measure your visitor counts too. Also, I'd love discussing these methods with you here or on my site. I'm a novice to measuring statistics like these, and the report is, at best, simplistic.

Nice write up. People new to Adsense and Analytics should take a look at this.

Michael Davis is well-respected
I use statcounter.com which is free. Been collecting visitor data using it for five years since I first became published. Perform differential analysis on promotion experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of each marketing activity. Even wrote an article that discusses the return on investment of 24 different promo methods. You can find it from my home page (Davisstories.com) by clicking the yellow button "so you want to write a novel?" near the upper left corner then scrolling down left of next page. Have several experiments documented there for a workshop I give.

Nice, I will definitely check that out. I am happy with my current promotional method (spamming reddit, twitter and facebook, lol), and I have a campaign planned for when I hit 50 posts on the comic. But after that, I'll need to start looking at better, more professional methods.
