Hi everyone,

Please enjoy my review of The Conviction by Robert Dugoni.

Thanks,

Ethan

The Conviction
opens with a courtroom scene, introducing the main character, lawyer David Sloane. His skills save his teenage son Jake from a jail sentence, but Jake’s troubles are not over. During a camping trip shortly thereafter, Jake and another boy are arrested for theft and sentenced to a youth detention camp.

Mr. Dugoni’s style is simple and to the point. The main chapters open with many characters and it helps if one has read the previous novels in the David Sloane series. The story is intriguing, the pace is fast, and the development is satisfactory.

How will Jake fare inside the detention center? What will Sloane do? How will he go about saving his son, especially when their legal recourses are exhausted?
