hi again

I was around here a bit a few years back but gave up forums when life got too busy. Had a baby, he's now five. Finished writing a novel somewhere in there which I'm revising now. Anyway, I felt a little creepy lurking around without saying hi, so HI!

Hi Carley. Just read your intro. Just wanting to clear up a couple of things. So you had a baby and he's five now and somewhere in there finished writing a novel to which you are revising. So was it your son that wrote the story and you are revising it for him? I can just picture you changing the colors of crayon and trying to get it between the lines yourself. Anyways good on you. Hope your colaboration is successful.

It does sometimes read like a preschooler may have written it, but alas, it was all me. Ha!

Well Carley, I have been told by many writers around here and other spots, that in order to write for a child, you have to think like one and write from their perspective...the trick is being able to get out of there once you drop the pen.
