Hi. Newbie Here

I actually came across this site a handful of months ago while searching about a writing topic. I found the threads and responses rather helpful. Came back a few more times until I decided I'd join and try and participate.

I don't have a lot of official experience with writing, nor taken any courses. I have, in the last year I'd say, purchased some guide and reference books on writing, fiction, plot, character, point of view, description...even snagged a grammar book that made things a lot easier to understand than the god-offal english/grammar books in school :S

I've been experimenting since I was about seventeen and only in the recent couple of months has a very intriguing idea come to me. I'm currently working on a serial-type scifi story and have finished a rather detailed draft for novels #1 and #2. I'm really excited, but very eager to learn more about writing so I can give my all.

A negative for me is how limited of books I've read. I'm cursed with a picky personality and can barely get through a few chapters, let alone a few pages on very popular books. I know this sounds bad and makes me look like I don't take writing seriously, but I do. I know I'm far from being a good writing, but I want to learn how to get better. I get ideas and visions for stories by the minute and would like to craft them to their full potential.

Subject 1157. Sounds like you've got a good atart into your novel(s) what you need to do now is turn around and leave.

Run! as fast as you can while you remember how to use your legs and sit down or lie down or howevever or wherever you get your inspiration and continue until you think your story is ready for viewing, then come back here and do some critiques, knowing that in the back pocket of your chinos...do chinos have back pockets?...anyways, once you are ready then post a chapter for review.

Unless...you're stuck already, in which case :>( welcome to the AW water cooler.
