Hey, you can call me Ehjookayted!
Hey everyone! My name is Ehjookayted, Ehj for short, and I'm excited to be a part of the community here! To be perfectly honest, I've always had an inkling that I've wanted to seriously write somewhere in my life, be it a career or a hobby. So it does shame a little bit to say that I've never seriously committed myself to my writing. I have a passion for it, but I've neither explored my poetic fancy nor my desires to write a novel.
What I do write, however, ties in my two loves: writing and philosophy. I particularly love essays, for some odd reason, and enjoy finding the deep rooted philosophy in anything I read. Being able to implement that into writing is something really great, and it's cool to think that I can writing analytical pieces with a touch of creativity and a healthy dose of philosophical knowledge. I know there are plenty of philosophical minds out there, and I fully expect some to be on here. ![]() Of course, philosophy only gets you so far, and is rather abstract, especially in writing. The symbols and themes associated with any meta-cognitive writing are not that easy to approach, and I think I've always struggled with making my writing concrete. As quirky as my writing style is, I am a student of this game (if we could call writing a game), and I'd like to think I appreciate all types of writing. Something I love is the raw emotion that some writers have a natural gift for. Emotion is obviously the goal that most writers want to get out of their readers, and it's kind of awesome to break down the writing and see what words, phrases, motifs, etc. make that writing work. Yeah, I'm a word nerd. My favorite word would have to be a tie between paradox and paroxysm. Well I've talked way too long, but I hope to start posting a lot and contribute! I definitely will be getting into more serious writing in the coming months, but I can say that this place will be a truly great resource. Oh and thanks to my friend, free_cashews_on_me for introducing me to this place. Sorry for rambling, but I'm not exactly concise, especially when talking about myself. ![]() I'm egocentric, pretentious, and erudite, so yeah you could say I'm Ehjookayted. ![]() I'll see you around. Thanks for reading! Ehj~

Forum looks great, and what I really love is how the BBCode is integrated seamlessly into the posting page, really cool stuff. Also love the forum design, it's very simple yet clean. Thanks again for the help!
