Okay, it's that time again, so September's prompt is <drum roll, please>...
Monsters.
This is one to really have fun with. Come up with a story centered around a monster. It's that simple.
But not just any monster. Something sick. Something demented. Something so twisted and sickeningly repulsive that people automatically scream and run away or freeze in abject terror at its appearance. Something slimey, slithery, rubbery, moist, grotesque beyond the imagination of most normal people. Something that feeds on putrefying flesh, that kills because it can, that haunts fetid swamps or dark deserted alleys in the heart of a city. Something that emerges from the sewers on moonless nights. Something that creeps in the desert or rolls down the highways when nobody's looking.
Then, craft a story with the monster hunting your characters or being hunted by your characters.
Try to keep things to about 3k words or thereabouts.
