Hello from the Uk.

Hello all, I'm a drying up magazine article writer!
I have started to read old 70's and 80's diaries to get some fresh ideas. I do like to write about personal experiences with a little embellishment occasionally.
I write mostly about the English countryside and it's wildlife, I used to be a field sports fan but have somehow grown out of that, but it did give me the inspiration that I now lack.
I have joined local writing groups (2) in the past but most people are interested in novels and poetry on them and I felt just a little out of my field (!) being asked to do a short story etc as an exercise.
I've never suffered from writer's block as such, I do my writing now and entertain myself and an occasional other on various forums. they are great fun if people don't take them too seriously!
I have had over 80 articles and some B+W photo's published so far, it's brilliant to see stuff just as you wrote it in print and a nice little cheque too, to go with it, it's just that I feel that I still have a lot more to give, but what?
I have the ability to see the words, sentences and paragraphs like all these in fact, in front of me that I just copy out, one of my daughters at university has it too, although both sides of our families have lived "on the land" since 1748, I have so far researched online.
Any interesting responses please, I do have a sense of humour! Nimrod.

Hello and thank you to everybody who replied, also to those who read and almost did...!
Another thing I really enjoy doing on my computer is logging in to my favourite BSA (motorbikes) forum and doing reviews of books that I have bought myself concerning anything to do with these machines, their history, mechanics, ownership etc.
I even review some older books from the 1960's and really like them too, it's a bit hard trying to be fair to outdated books and authors no longer with us, but I get a great deal of fun and pleasure from it.
I do like to put a joke or two or three if I can think of them at the time, I buy the book, Amazon etc, read it and do the review in one go, no note making or anything like that, "flow of conscience" or something like that?!
One book by a Mr Phil Schilling I reviewed, I simply put the phrase "or Bob as he's known to his friends!
(I ought to explain that the old English shilling piece was nicknamed a "bob").
Keep at it everyone, do your best to get some pleasure from your writing, that's as it should be, if you have to force it constantly and it makes you miserable when you just tear your hair out, take some decent time out and wait for inspiration, it'll come. Flow is what we all need I think, Nimrod.
