I know my current WIP is going to be politely called "Women's Fiction" even though it really is chick-lit (I don't see that as derogatory) -- it's light-hearted and slightly sarcastic while touching on modern day life events of a 30 something female protag.
But WIP #2 (that keeps trying to escape, so I've promised it Camp NaNo) I'm not so sure about. Does time-travel instantly put it into SciFi? Even though the main story arc is following the lives of two young ladies?
I guess there would be some elements of "Goodnight Sweetheart" (TV), "The Lake House" (movie) and "Charlotte Sometimes" (book).
Would it be Fantasy/Drama? Or Women's Fiction? Or crossing boundaries?
