Hi there, I'm new as you might have guessed :)
I joined because I'm looking for tips and a chance to talk to other writers. I also joined because I'm trying to figure out where my stories fit genre wise. I started writing a trilogy, years ago, about sisters. They're 18-25 depending on the book. The first one is about the oldest sister graduating high school then fighting her parents on the issue of college eventually ending in her deciding to go, of course. The second sister marries her high school sweetheart right out of high school and the story is about their struggle as newlyweds. The third sister is still sort of up in the air but might cover the topic of teen pregnancy. They are Christian books and all will have their own "theme"(i.e salvation, forgiveness, mercy). All will involve being a young Christian in a modern world.
Anywho, for fun I also write children's stories based off the antics of my backyard chickens and I write a lot of other stuff depending on what mood strikes me. I hope to someday get my thoughts in order enough to finish something ;)
I guess that's my introduction, its been a long sleepless night with a sick kiddo here so I fear I'm probably a bit incoherent at the moment.

Welcome!:welcome:

My guess is that the genre you're writing in is Christian Contemporary. Here's a page (http://www.examiner.com/article/christian-fiction-101-what-are-the-different-genres) that tells the Christian genres, gives a short description, and even lists the authors that work in each. You might find it helpful.

^^^This. Christian fiction has a strong following so you should find the books a good home. I know some great editors at Bethany House and Zondervan that might take a liking to these when they're finished. :) Good luck and welcome to the Cooler!

Welcome. It sounds like you could call it Christian fiction to me, as long as the Christian themes are clear.
