Chain, chain, chain, chain of haiku fools
 A haiku game... The last line of the previous person's haiku becomes the first line of the next person's haiku. For purposes of this game, my definition of haiku is simply a 5-7-5 syllable format. I'll start with a haiku inspired by the lyrics of Aretha Franklin's Chain Of Fools. You treated me mean, now I'm where you wanted me-- a link in your chain The first line of the next haiku becomes A link in your chain

"Shows a single bud" would not be the start of much. I suggest that somebody can change it to something like "A single bud shows" (Hmm, that would've done just as well on my piece.)
