Billytwice has given us a superb riddle in response to William Haskins' "Ode to Roadkill".

An awkward follow-up from me:

Q: How many maestroworks does it take to change a light bulb?
A: "But candles are so much more intimate, don't you think?...."

Who's next? (RYFW!*)

*: respect your fellow writer

as a dog, it's one of the shaggier I've seen

Setup: You're at the AW get-together picnic. One wag, making a dramatic gesture with his arm, knocks over your paper plate and dumps the salad onto your lap.

Q: What are you doing?

A: You're WerenCole slaw.

Which mod always saves money putting up wallpaper?

Chacounne... has own goo.

(French expression: Chacun à son goût = "Each to his own taste", or "To each his own")

If the preceding author had involved herself in that riddle, it would've been...

You're awfully loopy today, Rob.

ETA: I meant poet Rob. But, then, the other one's a bit punchy, too.

Ahem yourself, poet. I hate to break the news, but it's pronounced "reef."

Well, it is now. Thanks for doing your bit, Nav....

Ah, but let's not "coral" over such matters.

(If she corrects my pronunciation one more time, it'll be great to bury'er.)

I just can't let you go out like that, man.

Q: Why does NeuroFizz laugh when he's studying paramecium movements?

A: Because they get cilia and cilia.

*thank you, ladies and germs!*

When I was in Australia I went to Cairnes for four days, had a wonderful time, too. I can't pronounce it correctly because I can't get the accent right, but if they do to reference what they do to Cairnes, it's "reeference" for sure... :)
