Ack! The proposal is done. The acquisitions ed who requested it, wants it electronically, so as soon as I convert it to pdf (otherwise it will be too big of a file, once clips are added) off it goes.

Acq. Ed e-mailed me to confirm receipt. (I c&p it)

So, FWIW, it was either overkill or just what they want.
The "comittee" is making a decision sometime next week. At least I don't have to wait weeks or months to find out.
