Great Job Lily! Maggots eh? Don't they like trolls?
Yeah, too often I've bitten and I end up spending my whole blogging time in too and fros between idiots and it turns other people off commenting.

I've changed some policies to make sure people use sensible pseudonyms as well as real email addresses. And if people want to turn nasty, especially people who pretend to know more because they're older, I'll delete them.

Good luck on finding your muse Laurie. Mine hides in books or in my headphones. Open a book or blast out some tunes and it might reappear out of its hiding spot.

My thanks to you, fellow horror hounds, my muse has at last been found! *insert happy dance here* I was able to get started on chapt 2 of my horror hound inspired, secondary wip "spirit" and even a bit of conversation on my primary wip

Posting my totals for the week --
Primary wip has had around 800 added to it and my muse finally came back after being gone - just gone,no note, no explanation, it just took off - for about 3 days, letting me add about 700 t0 my secondary wip. So, my word count added is 1500 total, even though my intention was 1500 to my primary.

But after the last three days, I'm happy to just be able to put words together again.

Goals for next week? Let's say another 1500 to anything

My blog was blocked at work for a while 15 minutes or something. I freaked. I began looking for new jobs. How was I meant to blog if it was blocked at work?!

After ranting in a Facebook status update, it was mysteriously unblocked... no one in IT or any managers are my Facebook friends...

We could use more horror hounds on Sunday nights for the FFC challenge. Right now, I'm the only one and let me tell you, I stick out badly amongst the mainstream folks. While I enjoy creeping them out, I would love some help.

The FFC? What's that? I'm intrigued.

I'm home alone for a few hours, so I should do some writing but I also need to do some reading for a Marxist reading group...

Good Morning everyone!

I trust you all slept well.

And I too Ted and intrigued, What is the FFC?

Laurie congrats on your found muse! I hope she wasn't too mussed from the rain

I am offically Posting my goal: After a few more words last night after I logged off I finished my week up with about 4500k Ahhhh... with my Crow story finally under wraps it is a big load off.

For this week I will continue researching for subbing and I will start working on my WIP again now that all of the shorts in my head are organized and then seem to be taking a rest. I'll say 4000k again, but I will be hoping for more.

Thank you for your help everyone!
Catch you around the cooler!

Ok. I did get the Query re-written and I posted it to prove it.

Alas I have not yet re-written the re-write.

....My BF suggested that I write 'para-normal historical romance'...() so I researched that...

but my secret plan of spending Mother's day sitting in the sun and writing was thwarted by my children's insistance that I required amusement.

And after a day of amusement...I required wine.

If I don't have 'Anger' subbed and either 'Shiva' edited and ready for crit...or another 1,000 words written in either WIP...(and not the romance...if I write a romance it will turn out like 'Natural Born Killers' meets 'Kill Bill'

Ok...abuse me.

I guess I should post my writing progress.

The first piece I lost to Vista and that was around 600 words, I attempted it again and wrote a 669 word piece and for the hell of it, my final attempt which was tre cool, was 683 word.

I'm now 851 words into another piece, intended for the horror forum challenge (has the deadline run out?) so that makes my weekly word count a total of 2803 words!

Go me!

Argh. I'm at the Day Job and have a long, boring, repetitive school meeting tonight and I want to work on the horror rewrite! Curse you, responsible adulthood.

That is all. Return to your normal duties. Thank you.

I managed a little over 4,500 words last week, all on the new WIP. I would really love to add 5,500 words to it this week so that's my goal. That's only 800 words a day so it should not be a problem. I was cranking out about 2k words a day with SO, but this tale is emerging a little slower.

Subbed "The Light of an Oncoming Train" to Beneath Ceaseless Skies. It probably won't fit their definition of a "secondary world" setting, but if I don't submit, it'll just sit there on my hard drive, staring at me with those weird electronic eyes.

Weird Tales isn't reading, except for flash fic, until after Memorial Day and Talebones is going to get a hard copy sub.

Momentarily stalled on "The Midnight Box", but that will likely change this afternoon (I always feel more like writing after walking my dogs and getting out of the house later).

Yeah, Hinny, these teachers are herding cats for 4 days--that is, shepherding 40 8th graders to and around Montreal and Quebec. I don't want to BBQ them till they bring all the kids back safely.

By then, they might welcome oblivion.

Isn't that like asking for trouble right there? That sounds like a horror story in itself Yeesh.

Are you helping them too?

I'm out... have to go write. Just a few more things and then I can try the subbing thing *bites nails...starts to sweat... gahhh...*

Okay. I didn't meet my goal of ten thousand words last week. I only wrote four, so I am here for punishment.

My goal for this week is another four thousand words.
