Air Mail Markets
By Amy Brozio-Andrews

Hello again and welcome to the latest issue of Air Mail Markets.

The start of the new year means its time for new resolutions and new beginnings. For those freelancers who have decided that this year they will sell their work to new markets, below are three international publications where you can turn your hobby into a successful query. If you've got an avid interest in collectible figurines, art, plates, bears and more, and can tailor your work to a Canadian audience, Collectibles Canada is always seeking freelance contributions from knowledgeable writers. SkyNews could be the perfect publication for backyard astronomers, as the magazine's preferred writers base their articles on personal experiences in stargazing. And for the well-traveled folk with a treasure trove of great photos of Italy, Italy: The Magazine for Lovers of All Things Italian seeks your article on what's exciting and off the beaten path (as long as you can also supply the photos to back it up).

Bonne chance!

Self-publishing is hot.  Compared to traditional publishing, your book can be in print faster, you’ll have more control, complete ownership, and you won’t have to share revenue.  Even authors who have been successful with traditional publishers are reacquiring rights to their books in order to offer them directly to readers.  Here’s what you should know about this growing trend.
