Please read these guidelines to know for sure.

Stuff Your Site Needs To Win

We give awards for two reasons.

The Absolutely Write On Resources award is meant for sites that offer lots of great resources for writers. Not just a bunch of links, but actual content. Here's what I'm looking for:

	Sites that are clearly beneficial to writers (content, content, content)
	Sites I'd return to more than once
	Reasonably fast loading pages
	Easy to understand navigational structure
	Must offer something unique (if I can find everything on your page elsewhere, I'm not interested)
	Humor and clever graphics a plus, but not required
	The resources must be FREE! The award is not given to sites that are primarily meant to promote consultants, editors, books, etc.

The Absolutely Write On Writer award is for writers' personal sites. If you have a promotional site that showcases your work, you can apply for this award. Here's what I'm looking for:

	Unique strategies for marketing or displaying your work
	Layout that matches the tone of your work
	Easy navigation
	Great content

Here's what will kill your chances for either award:

	Typos (c'mon, writers)
	Crashing my browser
	Many broken links
	Under construction signs

If you think you've got what it takes, please send me an e-mail (jenna@absolutewrite.com) with the word "Award" in the subject line, and the following information in the e-mail:

Your name
Site title
Site url
One-sentence description of site
Which award you're applying for (Write On Resources or Write On Writer)

I will review your site as soon as possible, and I will contact you if you are an award winner. If you are a winner, your site will be listed on our "awards" page.
