Dr. Mary's Monkey
How the unsolved murder of a doctor, a secret labatory in New Orleans and cancer-causing monkey viruses are linked to Lee Harvey Oswald, the JFK assassination and emerging global eidemics.
Has any else read this book?
Edward Haslam, for the better part of his life, ‘fell’ into information concerning the death of Dr. Mary Sherman, and testing on monkeys. He’s like the 'Forest Gump' of monkey viruses.
It is set in New Orleans, Louisiana. Living in that region, I wanted to read the book. I think the creepiest of information was when 80+ monkeys escaped from a lab outside New Orleans and all were not found.
Reading this book, I had to do a double – take. Like this:
Garrison, the D.A. prosecuting Clay Shaw, did an interview with Playboy Mag.
Garrison was not re-elected and his predecessor was Harry Connick Sr.
Haslam’s girlfriend lived in the apartment where Ferrie had his ‘secret lab’. Eww.
Anyway, it was fun and crazy to read.
