Just curious if I'm the only one with the Fever on the board. ;)

For those unfamiliar, the Fever series is by Karen Marie Moning. SHADOWFEVER is the 5th and final book in the series, just released today. So far it's crazy awesomesauce and, even though I'm only about 10% into it, I'm having a hard time putting it down to work/do my daily blog/message board runs.

Love, love, LOVE this series, and highly recommend it to fans of urban fantasy.

Now that you've reminded me that it was released today, I'll be reading it. :D

I've read a few of them, but I don't know if I will buy this one...

I've enjoyed them all but the story is just a bit slow moving - I read a lot of romance (including Moning's romances) and I don't like knowing whether or not we can trust that guy she's living with... I can't even remember his name now, it's been a while!

Anyway. Dark, brooding, slightly bad is sexy, but I like to have a fair idea of what the goal is, romantically.

I'm rambling. Anyway. What I'm saying is that I much prefer her single titles :)

Hmmm... There are only 5 of them? I read the first 1 or 2, but I just didn't like it enough to invest in a whole new open-ended series. But if there are only 5 of them, that would be readable. I'd have to re-read the ones I already read, of course, but I could easily do that and then finish out the 5.

Yeah, it's definitely not a romance in the traditional sense.

The story arc spans five books, total. I'm about 30% through SHADOWFEVER now. A whole heck of a lot of questions I've harbored since the beginning have been answered, while new questions cropped up.

It's very intense, and I've been alternately loving and hating it. This is very much a "life isn't fair" kinda story. Makes for fascinating, engaging reading, though. :D

I've been waiting for this book in order to read the series. I heard the books ended with cliffhangers and figured I wouldn't get invested unless or until it had a proper end. My only question is: Was the end satisfying?

I think so. It answered all the big unknowns for the most part, and it kept my attention well enough I had to finish it this morning. I liked it. :)

Ok. I'm convinced. Now that the whole series is out, I'll give it another go.

Nope, but I have been wanting to start this series. Maybe I will pick up the first at the library next time I am there.

I did not need to know this was out. I have entirely too much to do already.

NOT BUYING IT.
