I recently finished reading this book and was absolutely floored. The book is non-fiction, about the city of Mumbai in India.

The language, the incidents, the risks taken, and the honesty--all brilliant. Has anyone else read this book?

I have read 70% of it and I just cant find time to read the rest, because my exams are right around the corner and because of some other blah blah blah stuff. Suketu Mehta couldn’t have been more honest about Mumbai. I like it because of the fact that he is so non judgmental throughout the book. He tells everything as it is. It is hardly like other books that are written about cities. It's readable stuff.

I started on it but couldn't finish. It was fascinating and very well written, but I got as far as the slums and crime and the thing about the birds in taxi cabs (prostitutes) and had to stop. It was too real for me lol but superb in the way it made my skin crawl.
