I just read List of Seven by Mark Frost, and highly recommend it. It combines deductive logic with Helena Blavatsky all through the eyes of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I read it in an afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is an aside, but if anyone is interested:

Mark Frost is one of the creators of Twin Peaks. Unless I'm mistaken, some of the stuff that shows up in The List of Seven also appeared in Twin Peaks. I think I read once (could be totally wrong here) that one could read The List as sort of a code-cracker to Twin Peaks.

And, Dave, for more Arthur Conan Doyle appearances, I suggest The Woman Between the Worlds by F. Gwynplaine MacIntyre. Fascinating little book.
