And there it is - Story #200 is a short, Lacunae, sold to Nature Futures. (my 3rd sale there.)
There's a couple of beers in my immediate future.
I signed a contract on something under a different pen name for a print anthology today. Which officially puts me at 26 short story/micro-fiction sales/acceptances since March 2011 (when I started W1S1).
And I join Willie also with a sale to Nature. "The Rumination on What Isn't" has been accepted earlier today. Story #52 and my fourth at Nature.
Awesome, brandon! Congrats! I'm sure this will be the first sale of many.A 29 day acceptance from Stupefying Stories for my first accepted story ever!
I wanted to thank everyone who posts regularly on the W1S1 forum. I've been lurking for the past several months, and seeing everyone's successes (and failures) has helped build up my confidence to submit my own fiction. Sites like this are invaluable for beginning writers. Keep up the good work!
My story "Earthen" just sold to Looking Landwards, a NewCon Press anthology. This is a 2011 W1S1, and the second short fiction that I wrote last year; third story sale since joining with 28 poetry sales.
"Earthen" is my 40th W1S1 publication, 50 for my career, and my 31st sale! I'm having a party. Another party at 50 sales.
