And Good Morning!

I meant to be up early so I could do some writing but I got distracted looking up bugs. Trying to figure out what this little bug is I find in my kitchen every morning. It doesn't seem to matter how clean my place is, I still find them, and I need to know what they are so I can kill them.

Morning again folks. :)

Missed you waking up by a narrow margin, Ali. Hand me some of that sunshine, it's been raining for three or four days and the forecast says it's going to keep raining until Monday. Kickass job on the words, by the way.

Kickass job on the energy, TJ. :D

Hahahaha. Yeah, no one can like Terry Goodkind for a whole 9 books. It's some kind of strange physical impossibility.

I used to like Goodkind. Own the first 9 books of his series. Hell I even liked the really preachy 5th book. But by book 9 I wanted to shoot my self. It was reading like a bad soap opera that uses every imaginable plot twist to keep the lovers apart and if I had to sit through one more book of "I will find you/save you" I was going to burn it.

I should try and sell those books or something, they're taking up valuable shelf space.

I thought the first couple of books were cool, then I started getting tired of them, then started debating whether I would bother finishing the series.

Then I ended up in the hospital for two weeks with a bad case of walking pneumonia when my wife was 7 months pregnant. I had no internet access and nothing better to do than read when I was actually awake. So I struggled through to the end.

Note, I usually read books more than once, even not so good ones. I may read the first couple again, someday, maybe, if I have nothing else to read. I have an aversion now.

As I'm going to be moving out in about a week's time, my dad wants to have some bonding time. So he's getting me to teach him how to play Mass Effect 3.

...it's not going that well, let me tell you that...

I am sooo sleepy this morning and everytime I try to start back into the rewrite of my WIP the boy decides my laptop is better as a raceway. Oh well. I wasn't anticipting having a productive morning. Have a good day all, I'm going to go play trains with the boy before he rips my arm out and beats me with it.

Aaaand I have arranged myself an apt viewing tomorrow at 11am. Landlord wants a call at about 10am to confirm I'm really coming, which is weird, but otherwise it's looking good. Way less nervous about this one than the last one.

Hah. Would hearing about how badly I screwed it up with a landlord last month cheer you up or depress you more?

In all fairness, you probably did better than you think you did.

be careful letting little boys and laptop keyboards get together. I'm using a USB keyboard for my laptops since the little one thought pound the keyboard to music was fun. He is over that stage thankfully, but the keyboards didn't recover and I'm to lazy to figure out how to replace them.:tongue

Probably depress me more. I don't like hearing about people screwing up... at least not if I like the person. If I hate the person then hearing how they fail is just amusing. But I don't hate you. :)

In all fairness, you probably did better than you think you did.
I doubt it. Though I credit the failure more to the speech impediment than to my actual brain.

ION: I just ended up in a short conversation with my mum about pregnancy. I don't even know how that topic got started... it was weird though.

Good morning Cantina! I'm still feeling a little meh. I was goiing to hang out with a friend today, but I think I'm going to have to take a rain check. We were going to go to one of the nearby Casinos, but cigarette smoke is the last thing I want to be around while sick.

I'm getting all feelie about my captial city now. I want someone to come over here so I can show it off...
I'd love to visit Australia. It's one of my bucket list places. But it's expensive to fly there.

ETA: There's a hostage situation going on currently in downtown Pittsburgh. The news has been covering it since 8:30 this morning.

So, I'm driving into work and I get a call from my brother.

"Are you watching the news?"
"No, I'm driving over the Rachel Carson Bridge."
"Oh, well, don't go downtown."
"Huh?"
"There's a man who says he has a bomb in Gateway 3. I'm safe. They evacuated the building, but it's a mess down here."
"Oh. Well, I'm turning onto Ft. Duquesne Blvd and heading to the Strip, so I should be okay.
"All right. I'm going to hop a bus back to the park and ride and go back to your house."
"Okay. Glad you're safe."

So yeah, that was my morning. Finding out my brother's safe.

And I have a lovely view of all the news choppers flying around downtown from my company's lobby.

After all I've read here I'm thinking of reducing my TBR pile a little.

Is that enough?

Actually, it's pretty crummy here too, but I figured if I put the sun in it might cheer the place up a little.

Oh look, us British folk talking about the weather, how original.

Thank you for your comment on my wordage though.

This is random, but I really can never get how different my voice actually sounds from how I always thought it sounded. It's really weird hearing what sounds like a totally different person speaking when I record myself.

In other news, I manged to fix the hallway light without electrocuting myself. I also discovered that the 2nd floor bathroom and the hallway light are on the same circuit breaker as the basement lights and the refrigerator in the kitchen.

Yeah. :e2shrug:

There's a scientific reason for that. Everyone thinks they sound funny when they hear their voices played back to them.

Glad to hear your brother is ok. What is it with all the bomb threats lately? I mean really? That's what 5 in the last two weeks or so? I swear the crazy is spreading. *starts scrounging around for a crazy vaccine*
