PSA: People I like who offer me their couches should be prepared for the extremely high likelihood that I will take them up on their offer. And pet all their doggies. And kitties. And probably not be boring, though I can't make any promises.

Also, no matter what Para and vfury say, I actually can cook. If nothing else, I do the dishes. ;)

Becky -

I still have to fit that one into my budget. I keep forgetting to do that!

Dys, that tea sounds amazing. I love rooibos tea. Nom.

I have an obscenely comfortable couch. And a Rosie. And an LGwenn and LWalker if we can reel them in with promises of not being boring. And DC. And a New York overnight trip by train.

I has none of these things. :e2bummed:

But: I do have a guest bedroom? And, um, and and -- pine trees!

*sigh*

The gaseous pit of stupidity
. Never been much of a fan of rooibos tea, but I think I've been converted. Brought home a green roibos with lemon, mango, cactus and cornflower in it that's just delicious. Also some nice chai, a green tea with jasmine and a plum cinnamon rooibos in addition to some spices. I think I'll be in good writing fuel for a while.

ETA: Also, did I mention the irony of how Para is apparently the only Brit on the planet who doesn't like tea? Incomprehensible. ;)

I love rooibos all kinds of it. Adagio Teas sells flavored roobios . Also on tumblr I follow a brit that hates hot tea. She drinks sweet ice tea. I've accused her many times of secretly being a Southerner.

I had to read this several times because it doesn't say what I thought it said.

Those times are far behind me. :tongue

Also, damn, I think I need to learn Russian. Now that I've officially made British English foreign language number eight. (My little brain was overheating and there may have been lots of fumbling for words that don't get me thwapped or laughed at over there.) Russian can be nine, I suppose? In the meantime, to google translate! ;)

ETA: Also, it's okay, Para. More tea for me. :D

I don't have any dogs or kitties, but I do have a small child. You are free to pet him if you can get your hands on him.

I don't care for rooibos. Or green tea. I like tea and coffee the same way: STRONG and plain. This includes herbal peppermint tea. I do make exceptions: Constant Comment, even tho it smells better than it tastes, for some reason; Celestial Seasonings cinnamon apple spice; and jasmine. altho I am annoyed that the only jasmine I could find was a green tea base, rather than a black tea base. At times I feel like the American Food Industry is shoving fats and sugar down our throats with one had while washing it down with pseudo-healthy drinks with the other. /rant

Dear God, Dys, you are scary smart!

If I had a spare room, I'd invite you. I am a true Italian in at least one way: I can cook up a storm. The other way is: lots of dark hair. Everywhere. Women should not have mustaches. And it HURTS to pluck hair from one's upper lip. Owie.

спасибо, росетта стёнь. ;)
Becky, whose spelling in Russian still sucks.
And started this post 20 minutes ago.

Thank you, Rosetta Stone?

Sue, who just about remembers how to read and speak a little Russian.

And Clovia is teasing me with Purgy meetup pr0n. Meanie.

I'm teasing EVERYONE with Purgy meet-up pr@wn. I figure if enough people come to visit over the years, at least one of them will feel obligated to make sure we don't get stuffed into a shitty old folks' home and bilked of all our hard-misered coin.

I has none of these things. :e2bummed:

Dude, I would be waiting in your hot-tub by the time you got home from work if I could. You and Mr. Sunna sound like such a blast. I'd hide in your luggage for your vacation this year, just because I know it would be fun no matter what jacked-up travel weirdness happened.

I drink a lot of tea, usually without sugar now. The one I've been liking the best lately is Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice.

Hahaha, Lily, I  you. I do many things for people who are willing to cook for me. :D

Also on the smart, really, I'm just good at BSing. Para asked me to say something in Italian and I completely blanked on anything other how to say my name, how are you and hey, I like you. ;) My language skills are pretty much limited to freaking the fuck out of people who think I don't understand them only to discover that oh yes, I do and I occasionally even talk back. :tongue

~ Dys, years out of practice at some of this stuff.

Yeah, go ahead, laugh. :tongue

Also, thanks for making me feel all kinds of better. I   you guys. :LilLove:

Fire, yep :) I'm on something like the fourth unit now of their Russian course. I can read it pretty well, and my pronunciation is getting better if I try to read aloud, but can't synthesize sentences of my own very well. And I'll be damned if the various declensions make any sense.

eta: *high fives Blond* Count me in with the tea-loathers. Hubs drinks gallons of the stuff. One whiff of bergamot and I'm gagging.

Hmm Rosetta Stone. The program that makes my Foreign Language Prof run screaming.

I should give it a try some time.

My grammar-obsessed German friend looked at me like I was the antichrist when I told him they were teaching us a proficiency-based approach rather than a grammar-based approach to language teaching these days.

We'll see how that pans out when I actually get victims, er, students to try this out on next spring. :tongue

i wanted to toast AGAINST that
for the rest of 2012!

haha!

cindy, who just got her royalty statements 8)
But we never got the AGAINST part. We just got the tiny defenseless bubbles, big stabby swords (with lots of waving of arms and pantomimed sword play) and then we were so convulsed with laughter it never got any further.

Here's our group, in a much more subdued moment, although GJB does look very mischievous...or coquettish.

Sorry, That's Classified...
I drink hot tea only if I am feeling icky... Sweet Iced Tea on the other hand is a STAPLE in ANY southern home...my grandma would come back from the dead and beat me with a switch from the yard if I didn't keep it in the fridge...and for eating fried chicken with a fork... *who does that?*

boggles...

Also. I am doing my best to tempt Dys to move to TX via reps ... Muahahahaha

Now brewing: HUGE Tracts of Land tea. A blend of gunpowder and jasmine, for people who like their tea strong but with a hint of delicacy.

*I think that IRL the gunpowder would completely overwhelm the jasmine, so this would be teaFAIL*
