Crushes, ahhhhh, I was boy crazy and had lots of crushes. Dated a lot too, just never got serious.

One guy had a crush on me throughout high school. He was cute and sweet and shy. I thought he was really wonderful. He always gave me a Valentine's Day gift and sometimes a Christmas gift. Other kids were mean to him and made fun of him but I was always nice. After we graduated his mother called me and told me I needed to be mean to him and ignore him so he'd move on from me. I wouldn't do it and be mean to him, couldn't hurt him like that. Anyway, I haven't seen him for many years and I wonder if he ever married.

Aww - you are so nice. I bet you made a difference in his life - even if you didn't return his affections. (oh and that Mom - bless her heart - FAIL)

No. When they get to a certain size, we're supposed to split them out and start a new one (same first post). And OPWFT and TWFT are much longer than that size....

Cuz we're almost at 1700 pages... that's my guess...

Can we be the Marginally Old People Writing for Teens? Or maybe our new friend Lindsay's term...

Enjoy that little beige folder symbol by the thread while it lasts. Soon it will go orange and never return.

ETA: Oops, I was the one to kill it

Soo, the wip I've been working on for the last week or so is almost done . . . trying to figure out how to do the last few chapters. I need to go back and add one or two though. Just not sure if this chapter is working right.

Sage . . . my vacation has been very productive ;) I can write a lot if I push myself. I usually take a very long time because I edit over and over before finishing. So now am doing all the writing and then going to edit, add in, slice, take away, tighten etc.

I'd love to shoot for a longer piece, but for MG rule of thumb is 20-40k, so there will be two books.

I think it also helps that the book is pretty much writing itself. This piece has kept me up late as I try to finish a chapter. The feedback I've gotten from so many of you from FNW has been invaluable! Errm . . . I do wonder though. Thinking of adding a chapter in the very beginning of Merlin basically saving arthur and bringing him to our time.
